The assault resulted in the temporary closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - caused train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
